Global athletic leader New Balance announced today
the signing of an official multi-year sponsorship deal with the ABN
AMRO Marathon Rotterdam. The company will serve as the official
footwear and apparel sponsor starting with the 32nd annual race,
which will be held on Sunday, April 15, 2012. The race is one of
the fastest marathon courses in the world and one of the biggest
one-day sporting events in the Netherlands.

as one of the top ten marathons in the world," says Alan Hed,
executive vice president, international at New Balance. "As one of

presence in running and highlight our innovative footwear, apparel,
and unique brand attributes to athletes of all abilities."
As the official footwear and apparel sponsor of the ABN AMRO
marathon Rotterdam, New Balance will showcase their performance
running collection at the Marathon Sport Expo and as the exclusive
merchandiser of the race, New Balance will be offering a new line
of ABN AMRO Marathon Rotterdam official gear. Race officials and
volunteer staff will be outfitted in New Balance products and the
company will coordinate regional retail promotions and advertising
activities around the race.
The new line of ABN AMRO Marathon Rotterdam official New Balance
gear will be available on-site at the Marathon Sport Expo, at
retail and on-line.

The ABN AMRO Marathon Rotterdam is one of the events that is
organized under the umbrella brand Like2Run. Like2Run connects
fifteen national and international running experiences with each

The ABN AMRO Marathon Rotterdam will be held on Sunday, April
15, 2012 for the 32nd time. This unique experience will again be a
mixture of (top) sport and festival. With many international top
athletes, thousands of fun runners and hundreds of thousands of

For 2012, a new ranking has been added to the ABN AMRO Marathon
Rotterdam - the Provinces Marathon Challenge. Here the prestigious
title of 'fastest marathon province of the Netherlands' is at
stake. Other components are the Business Runs, the 10 km Run
Rotterdam and AD 5 km. On Saturday, April 14, 2012 ABN AMRO Kids
Runs are also on the program.
