Sensational finish in Rotterdam
On 11 April 2009 the Fortis Marathon Rotterdam saw a spectacular
finish. In fact it had never been so sensational on the Coolsingel.
The Kenyan Duncan Kibet, who won after a fabulous sprint at the
end, and James Kwambai, finished in the same official time:
2.04.27. No one was faster in 2009. The exact difference between
the two compatriots amounted to six tenths of a second: 2.04.26,3
against 2.04.26,9. The difference was so small that a photo finish
was nearly required to determine the number 1.
The Fortis Marathon Rotterdam has often seen small differences
