Course

Every year the organizers provide a fast, traffic free, safe and running friendly course.

The course in Rotterdam has already proven itself with fast times. After 3 world records (Carlos Lopes in 1985, Belayneh Densamo in 1988 and Tegla Loroupe in 1998) Felix Limo ran the fastest time ever on Dutch soil in 2004. He crossed the finish in a time of 2.06.14 (course record Rotterdam). In 2008 William Kipsang broke the course record in 2.05.49. Duncan Kibet broke this record in 2009 by crossing the finish in 2.04.27, the fastest time worldwide in 2009. In 2010 ran Patrick Makau also on this course the fastest time worldwide: 2.04.48.

In 2011 the Kenyan athlete Wilson Chebet finished in the world's best time of the season 2.05.27. In the women's category debutante Philes Ongori triumphed in 2.24.20
